Water industry relies on a wide variety of skills, aptitudes and interest to fulfill its mission of providing safe and high quality water service. Possible career tracks include water treatment and distribution, engineering, water use efficiency, utility billing, community relations, public finance and administration. The minimum qualifications for many of the job classifications are high school diploma supplemented by vocational/industrial training or a few years of work experience.

Scotts Valley Water District announces a career opportunity for a full-time (40 hours per week) Administrative Office Assistant. This position provides general and confidential office support to various District divisions and performs primarily administrative tasks such as: type documents including correspondence, forms, memos, reports; maintain filing systems; assist with the compilation, distribution and delivery of Board meeting agendas and related materials; receive, greet and screen phone calls and visitors; assist with customer services such as payment processing and account inquiries, provide information and assistance to the public; support District’s public outreach strategy.
