Bethany Pump Station has been up and running throughout the weekend.The Distict has been able to re-fill the Bethany Tank so customers can resume normal water use.

7/7/17 11:00AM UPDATE: WATER EMERGENCY NOTICE

Scotts Valley Water District crews completed construction of a temporary pump station and turned it on at 11:30PM last night. With critical support from customers who strictly curtailed water use throughout the day and into the evening, the District’s team of eleven staff created and built an out-of-the-box temporary solution within 18 hours of the water main break at the Bethany Pump Station. 

The District’s nearby storage tank levels are up approximately 10 feet with about another 10 feet to go to fill the tank. The District requests affected customers to be mindful of water consumption throughout the day today as the system stabilizes.

7/6/17 5:00PM UPDATE: WATER EMERGENCY NOTICE

Scotts Valley Water District crews are optimistic they will have a temporary pump station online at approximately 8:00PM this evening. Affected District customers are asked to continue to refrain from outdoor water use and other non-essential use, which will enable the District’s storage facility to refill overnight.

Crews have worked throughout the day today to fix a water main break at the Bethany Pump Station, first discovered at approximately 6:00AM today. The main break affects approximately 228 District water connections.The District wishes to thank and commend customers for their strong response to the request to conserve throughout today, including residents as well as staff and attendees at the Camp Redwood Glen and 1440 Multiversity.

WATER EMERGENCY NOTICE:

Due to a water main break at Bethany Pump Station in the north area of the Scotts Valley Water District, the water supply is limited in that area. Customers are asked to limit :ater use to health and safety purposes only. Irrigation watering and non-essential uses are strictly prohibited until further notice. The District is working on evaluating the damage and preparing the fix as  on as possible. Please visit svwd.org for more information or call 831-438-2363.
