- Santa Margarita Groundwater Basin Advisory Committee
The Santa Margarita Groundwater Basin has been managed under an AB3030 Groundwater Management Plan since 1994. In 1995, a group of local agencies established the Santa Margarita Groundwater Basin Advisory Committee and became signatories to a Memorandum of Understanding that outlined the objectives for cooperative groundwater management of the Basin. The Santa Margarita Groundwater Basin Advisory Committee consists of members of the Scotts Valley City Council, Scotts Valley Water District (SVWD) Board of Directors, San Lorenzo Valley Water District (SLVWD) Board of Directors, County of Santa Cruz Board of Supervisors and/or Water Advisory Commission and meets twice a year in May and November. There may be a quorum of one or more of the governing bodies in attendance at the meetings.
