About Your Water Bill
Water bills are issued on the 15th of each month (or closest business day) and are due upon receipt. A late fee is applied 20 days later (the 5th of the following month) if payment has not been received.
Payment Options
The District accepts the following forms of payment:
- Cash, Check, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay
- AutoPay - Click here to set up autopay. Note: The AutoPayment platform changed in October 2024 and you may need to re-enroll.
- By Phone - Call (831) 438-2363 during business hours to make a phone payment with your Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card.
- DropBox - Drop off your payment anytime day or night at the secure DropBox is conveniently located in the District's parking lot. Don't forget your payment stub.
- In Person - Stop by the office, 2 Civic Center Drive, Scotts Valley, during business hours to pay in person with cash, check, Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card.
If You Receive a High Water Bill
An unusually high water bill is most often caused by a water leak, change in water use or over-irrigation. Customers are encouraged to sign up for WaterSmart to view and understand their water use.
If Your Account is Past Due
Customers with past-due accounts are encouraged to call customer service at (831) 438-2363. Any customer who is unable to pay for water service within the normal payment period may request a payment arrangement.
Delinquent Accounts
In compliance SB 998 the Water Shutoff Protection Act, the District has a written policy on the discontinuation of residential water service due to non-payment that may be viewed below;

Disputed Bills
If a customer disputes the water bill and exercises their right to appeal to the Board of Directors, the District will not disconnect water service for non-payment while the appeal is pending.
