Bulk Water
By submitting this application, you are agreeing to the following:
- Bulk water meters require a deposit of $2000 with the District. Payment may be made by cash or check during normal business hours.
- Potable bulk water can only be used within the boundaries of the Scotts Valley Water District, whereas recycled bulk water can be used inside and outside the boundaries of the District.
- Recycled water is to be used solely for construction and landscaping purposes.
- It is prohibited to operate the valve of any hydrant other than by use of a spanner wrench designed for that purpose.
- Water must be drawn from the meter during daylight hours only, except as approved by the District in advance, and at a flow rate no greater than 400 gallons per minute.
- When filling a tanker, an air gap must be present between the tank contents and the filler hose.
- A permit must be displayed in the truck or on site at all times while drawing water
- The customer shall use reasonable care to prevent damage to the meter and all facilities belonging to the District. The $2,000 deposit may be refunded only after the meter has been returned to the District in good working order, or less the cost to repair the meter. The deposit may also be refunded less any outstanding balance for water consumption or past due payments on the account.
- An Application Fee of $25 will be added to the first bill.
- Hydrant meters for bulk water are issued on a first come first served basis and are not reserved.
- Bulk water meter customers are required to call in the meter reads on the last business day of each month.
- The tankers air gap most be inspected by SVWD personnel.
Payment in full must be made by the due date on the billing or a late fee will be applied. Current Rates:
