Water Monitoring Device
- This rebate requires a dated sales receipt or final invoice showing itemized cost of the rebated item(s). Purchases made more than 90 days prior to application will not be processed.
- Applicants are eligible for rebate of one device per unit under the Master Meter.
- The device must be used at all times except for when the pipe it is attached to is undergoing maintenance. The rebate is not to exceed the purchase cost of the device. Sales tax and shipping are not included.
- All equipment must be installed in an existing SVWD service address.
- Rebates will be issued in the form of a mailed check unless a request is made for account credit. Please allow sixty (60) days from the date of approval for processing.
- The account must be in good standing to receive rebate check. If the account is not in good standing, then a credit would be applied to the applicant’s District account.
- Installation of any device, appliance or fixture is the sole responsibility of the applicant, as is determination of the adequacy and compatibility of the existing plumbing system.
- The District does not guarantee materials or workmanship; acceptance of such is the customer’s responsibility.
- The District assumes no responsibility or liability for any damage that may occur to an applicant’s property as a result of participation in this program. Due to circumstances beyond its control, the District cannot guarantee that installation of rebated fixtures or measures will result in lower utility costs.
- All installations must follow the California Universal Plumbing Code. For information on California building codes please visit https://www.library.ca.gov/law/building-standards/.
- The applicant is solely responsible for the proper disposal of all materials associated with the installation of credited fixtures and equipment. The District assumes no responsibility or liability for waste disposal. Please recycle materials where applicable.
- All communications regarding the rebate process will occur in writing via email or letter.
- The District may at any time modify this program without prior written notice.
- Incomplete applications will be denied.
