Thanks to the heavy winter rains, the District's Board of Directors voted at its February meeting to end Stage 2 water supply conditions and move to Stage 1, which ends the drought surcharge customers have been paying since June of 2022.
In addition to lowering the cost of water, the shift back to Stage 1 loosens restrictions on outdoor irrigation.
Regardless of the stage level, all customers are encouraged to continue practicing water-efficient habits that prevent water waste:

- Fix leaks or faulty sprinklers promptly.
- Watering vegetated areas in a manner that causes excessive water flow or runoff onto an adjoining sidewalk, driveway, street, alley, gutter, or ditch is prohibited.
- All decorative water features must re-circulate water or users must secure a waiver from the supplier.
- Irrigating ornamental turf on public street medians is prohibited.
- No landscape watering shall occur within 48 hours after measurable precipitation.
